What is going on beautiful people its your boy Blu Games. Welcome back to another Microsoft Flight Simulator Review. This is the Carenado Piper PA-44 Seminole.

Aircraft Details

For generations the Piper Seminole has been known as one of the best Twin Engine trainer aircraft. Since 1979 its Used to train commercial and multi engine rated pilots. This 4-seater Twin Engine aircraft has a top speed of 197kts, cruises at just around 130kts with a max altitude of 17,100 and 1,000nm range.

Today You can add this aircraft to your flight simulator hanger for $29.99 USD from the in game marketplace.

Visual Review

But it’s no surprise visually Carenado did a great job replicating the look of the Piper Seminole down to every scratch on the fuselage. PBR textures & reflections look really good in all weather situations.

Performance Review

Based on my testing. FPS are equal to the TBM and Citation CJ4. Only 2 frames less then the default Cessna 172. Which is a un noticeable difference to the human eye.

Systems Review

Let’s talk about Carenado’s Piper PA-44 Seminole systems. This is not a study level aircraft & it is not trying to be. That being said all the buttons are clickable and functional. Despite the advertised custom autopilot. All the systems & avionics are pretty much the same as the default GA aircraft. Which means that you will battle the same issues in the autopilot that you get in the rest of the Asobo fleet. This also goes for the Mooney M20 Ovation. The good news is that as Asobo updates and improve their General Aviation planes so will this one.

Physics & Flight Model Review

Which brings me to physics & flight model. Carenado has created a custom flight model for the Piper PA-44 Seminole tested by real pilots for accuracy. And this really shows when you try flying & landing with one engine. Which I highly recommend you giving a try. Its really cool.

Difficulty Review

As far as difficulty this plane is very easy to learn & fly. But can also be challenging if you want to push it to the limits.

Cost & Installation

You can buy this plane from the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace for $29.99 USD and it installs right in your simulator automatically after purchase.

Sound

I think they did a great job with sounds. No major complaints from me here.

Aircraft Rating & Final Thoughts

So my final rating for the Carenado Piper PA-44 aircraft is going to be 3.5 out of 5 stars. I honestly don’t have many major complaints about this plane. I think it’s fairly priced & Its actually one of my favorite General Aviation planes to fly now. But it mainly uses the default systems so I can’t give it any higher of a rating. But I would highly recommend it.
